Yak Attack

Firstly, I saw definite signs of Blewbmx world domination in effect over this weekend. It?s all a bit low key at the moment but it?s going ahead. Check out this proof that my photo making phone captured.

So there have still been plenty of Kings park sessions going down, although the past few weeks have made us (Ollie Giraffe and I) pretty bored of the place. Greg from Salisbury has however been killing the place regularly lately, with lots of Stretch Armstrong style moves. He used to ride Hornton Hill back in the day with Hugh Roach, brakeless MTB killer. Now he rides concrete parks and performs wild bicycle manoeuvres for you, the publics, viewing pleasure.

Johnny of Derelict Bmx fame has also been doing some wild carves round the vert corner, similarly for the sake of my pay packet from Ed. He demonstrated this many times for me to get the hot shot.

So this weekend has been pretty rad anyway. Four guys from Brighouse up Leeds way came down for a play. Namely Dan, Pete, Jack and Paul. Had a night of passion in at Jesus?s Friday, with a few beers and ?macca bangers?. That were reet good. Dan entertained us with Mighty Boosh quotes and random banter, and we watched some Boosh to get stoked.
After a late one, we hit up Slades around lunch time. From the moment we got there, Paul ?Chappers? was sending it everywhere. Blasting up the hill jump real high, whipping and twizzling the Marchant gap from bowl to grass. Killing it. Then we headed up to Kings, where he decided to get his Jimmy Levan on. Sending it out the park over the back rail to flat was no jokes. Here?s a snap of a bail, and a banger T bar to flat. Crazy boy.
Rode some new jumps after this which was nice. Everyone enjoyed this, although the jumps needed a bit of tlc. Riding jumps made it feel like start of trail season, although there?s probably a bit of a wait. Here?s Chappers.

Last night was sweet. Dan and Pete displayed some serious shapes on the non existent dance floor of a bar. I think they impressed a few people. You might see them in the background of a pop video sometime soon, maybe even behind Robin and Moley. From there we went to the Villa, by which time everyone was messy. Dan got his pole dance on the go, but was one upped by a minger who got her boobies out. Pete had combed his afro out and got pretty disco in the place, whilst Chappers and Jack were just messy from what I remember. We did loads of dancing and had loads of fun, and departed from everybody else. I rode home on Ollie?s bike and got shouted at by some federals to put lights on it. I don?t think they realised I was absolutely leathered and had no brakes.
Today we went for a Toby carvery to cure the hangover, with all the trimmings, delightful. Then we made mud cakes. Dan makes good mud cakes, especially curved ones. Pete also makes good lamb chop side burns. Here?s a shot of work in progress. This is coincidentally NOT an open invite for non digging visitors to the woods in any way.

I need to do more regular updates that aren?t quite as mammoth as this one, and put you to sleep. It was lovely meeting the Brighouse chaps, fully enjoyed the weekend, look forward to a trip in their direction. Hope everybody is stoked on this however. Adios amigos.
