Yak congratulated me on writing what was apparently my best update to date the other day. Which was jolly nice of him. Aidan was meant to ring last night for phone sex, but didn?t produce the goods. Bad Aidan. Looks like Yak of the Vale, Ed and I are hitting up the Aversion trip, which should be off the hizzle. Four days of riding, drinking, partying and laughing, in no particular order. Aidzilla can?t make it unfortunately which is a bit rubbish, but I?m sure he has his reasons. We?ll spread the Blew gospel without him I guess.

So after an exciting weekend with the Brighouse chaps, and Mondays digging, myself and Ollie Giraffe decided to hit up the sunshine, and someone else?s jumps again. Namely Gilly Smalls? place. The dirt isn?t great by any stretch of the imagination in summer, but alright when wet. So upon arrival I watered all the line and smoothed out everything to make it all mint like. There were just a handful of MTB kids doing drop offs and other exciting stunts, so we rode jumps alone.

Much like WC massive, Giraffe and I seem to end up just doing tables and T bars everywhere. Not a bad thing I guess. Ollie wasn?t stoked with the feel of his tables, but liked the image on the photo maker.

Probably mistimed T bar, because I aint no Bancroft. These photos didn?t come out too great, for a number of reasons (excuses?). The sun was setting behind a big old hill, which meant it got shady pretty quickly. The on camera flash also sucks, and I need to raise funds for a proper one. Do I know what I?m talking about? Probably not.

I can?t do many bike stunts at the best of times, but riding jumps early March definitely makes you stoked on just floating over gaps. I got stoked on this whipper picture, although the quality isn?t great.
Some kids turned up. Now they?re not my jumps, but I always feel a bit of responsibility to keep things in check. The kids are about 15, do racing and invite themselves to others trails. They turned up at our place about 2 months ago whilst we dug, looking to ride, offered no help, and left because stuff was wet. One of em kick turned on a sandy lip at Gillys and took a big chunk of sand out. I shouted at himnd told him off. Authority. Jesus is our BMX and fishing extraordinaire trail security guard, ready to remove kids such as these if they turn up again at our place. No manners kids today. On a lighter note, here I perform an opo thing on the first, which is rubbish quality, but I?m still pleased with the tweaker.

Before we left Gilly?s place, we packed and smoothed all the lips and landings that were haggard. Hopefully, he notices this and gets stoked. I?m just sat in writing this waiting for Ollie to go to the woods. Days are getting longer, the suns getting hotter, life?s getting good. Roll on the clocks springing forward and long summer evenings. For now, there?s plenty of spadework to be getting on with.
Been watching the Mighty Boosh every day again at the moment. Just an episode or two in the evening. Every time I watch it I realise more and more just how genius the programme is. If you haven?t had the pleasure, go buy a DVD or watch some on youtube, it?s a treat. I?m going to eat chocolate mousse and drink orange juice. Tallyho.
