Site changes and jet ski

Videos

I have added a load of videos to the video section, old Knowlhill and blewbmx ones at the moment, but I will put the grove commitment series up in the next few days. Brings back some good memories for me. So go to the video section for that.

Site news

I have been working on the site quite a lot recently, mostly little changed but I have made some more major ones today. The front page is now going to look like it looks now, but will also make the old style news viewer available. Hopefully will make things load faster and be generally better.

Jet ski-ing

BMX picture

Also went jet skiing the other day which was well rad. 50mph on water feel damn good… Should be going again tomorrow too. Whilst we were there some other pikey guys on a jet ski crashed into some fisher mans boat and he got pretty livid, thought he was going to fish hook them or something.

My exams have finished now so expect more updates, maybe even some riding ones, will also put up more videos. The about section at the top has been updated too with pictures and some more writing.

No voice, and random jump snappies

Easy now. I have had tonsillitis since the weekend, and pretty much haven?t been able to say a word since Sunday. Not being able to shout about, or scream out of cars, or have a conversation is mind numbingly boring. I got some sweet Penicillin which hopefully is doing the job and fixing me up all fine and dandy. Thought I?d update with some random pictures, some recent and some older ones too.

BMX picture

Random Banksy piece, one of many all over Bristol. This ones pretty simple but rad as you like. Banksy won some greatest Britons award for arts on TV the other night.

BMX picture

Louis spinning one out at Spooks nearly a year ago. This was the first time I met the old chap, and what a thoroughly nice one he is. Its his birthday some time soon, so send him all sorts of magical gifts. This was the only time I?ve ever been to Spooks, and was thoroughly stoked on it, having not ever seen photos beforehand and not knowing what to expect.

BMX picture

I stopped by 157 one day on the way home from uni, rode Radley, and Aidan and I fixed this landing. Aidan loves photos being taken of himself, so this was a perfect opportunity. This really sums his personality up.

BMX picture

The trail monkey is a staple feature of Cothill. Here he is in party mode i.e. hanging rather than perched on the tree. He once told me he had travelled the seven seas as a young chimp, and there was nowhere he?d rather be than relaxing down Cothill.

BMX picture

We have a roll in?.worth the effort, but an absolute mass of dirt. Not quite as much as some Chertsey landings, but still one hell of a lot of work.

BMX picture

Sam Chapman of Northern trails fame wafting his back end out. New Ride has a trails article including an interview with Dan. Top quotes include?
?We built some skimmers?
?We?re usually too busy talking about world politics or conspiracy theories, or horses? and
?If that means there?s petite girls walking round in just panties, that?s OK by me!?.
Go read all those interviews if you are yet too already, pretty entertaining stuff at times. Also, watch this video?

9/11 Mysteries
One of the best features I?ve ever seen, there?s plenty more similar to this one floating around on Youtube/Google video/etc. Might do another update tomorrow if I still can?t speak, it?s the most boring uncomfortable situation ever. Make the most of your voice boxes people.

FBM Tony Cardona Trails Video and yak

Rad video on rideBMX USA. Chase hawk and Tony Cardona shredding some trails and a pretty savage crash at the end. Video is here.

Some trails from good old blighty too, yak doing a table at Cothill.

BMX picture

Quis is worth checking out a fair bit too, so get on that. I need to do some work now byeeee.

Cothill trails with Stu and Aiden

BMX picture

Some pictures from Cothill trails a while back. Stu Loxely doing a good turndown. Check the Calvin Klein's…

BMX picture

Stu again doing a no-foot can. Might have put this one up before, still its good enough to put up twice… Yeah Stu.

BMX picture

Testing out some of Aidens new jumps.

BMX picture

BMX picture

Aiden's head is messed up, he thought it was easier doing this than jumping it normally, he literally jumped it better doing a 270, wtf. These looked much better in real life than the photos show.

BMX picture

Stu wide bars does a look-back on the same jump.

BMX picture

White trousers and BMX are a match made in heaven, the state of these trousers by the end of the aversion trip the following week was ridicoulus haha.

BMX picture

The trail comitee. Some woods nearby got some newspaper reconigition the other day as well, go see lightsinthewoods for that.

Added RSS feed and comments to news

I have exams on at the moment… So perfect time to waste time adding new things to the site. Added two things, an RSS feed for the news, and comments to the news.

News comments

At the end of each news article you can now add comments, or view the ones other people have left. So bitch about how tight peoples drain pipes are there.

The new RSS Feed

For those of you fools who don’t know what RSS is, it is basically a way to get news from loads of different sites in one easy way, rather than having to check round loads of different sites. If you use firefox you can subscribe to it in the address bar by clicking on the oranage symbol. In internet explorer 7 (corrected) you can subscribe to it by simply clicking
on the feed here.

Hopefully both of these new things will work, but if something doesn’t, let me know and I’ll try and fix it.

And lastly some actual BMX stuff, here’s a picture of Stu Loxely at Cothill trails riding his bike. I have some more pictures of them to put up soon too.
