Sessions at woods, Banbury and Bournemouth

So it’s been over a week since my last update, slackness. Team Blew has halved in a matter of a week, which sucks, but Yak and Aidan were holding us guys back anyway I say. Plus, I’ve seen my Grandma twice and theshovelload isn’t online yet, whats going on?! My good friend Eddie, who I’m spending 4 months ‘daaaan under’ with over winter stayed with us in Bournemouth a couple of weekends ago.

Ended up having a real good session down t’woods. I never take enough photos when a good session goes down, or at least set the camera up well to make them come out nicely. Eddie kickout, above, and Jesus kickout, below.

We went to a party in Wimbourne with all the Slade’s crew. Only Eddie, Aron, Castle and I wanted to go to town so we trekked it off. On the way, Castle pulled his balls over his belt and advertised it as a new Metallica belt buckle to girls. One boyfriend got crazy and took his own belt off, and smacked Castle over the arm. Expecting Castle to back off, which he didn’t, Castle chased him down the road and the guy tripped off the curb, scorpion face grinding the road. Priceless.

We also went to a crappy club, which was pretty much a town hall with a sound system. One of the shit places you know will be rad. We lost Aron and Castle, but apparently they got arrested for fighting and Castle pissed all over the cell, great work.

Hay fever fucks up your eyes proper. Not good flying through the woods struggling to pull back your eye lids and spot where you’re going.

Jesus with a sweet table. I’m back home right now, and have been resurrecting my old woods which Gregg and I built at before I went to uni. Considering it’s only a few days work the line is looking amazing. Although he has a BMX for fashion reasons, Gilly is still the seasoned bow legged mtb pro he always was. Here he demonstrates this trademark stiff old bugger style in mbuk. They tell you how to build jumps. Apparently you build tabletops, master jumping it, then take out the middle and use it to build the next jump. You also use a large base of logs. News to me.

The folk festival was also FULL of rude boys. Everywhere. They were clearly having fun which is the main thing, and there were probably record amounts of fights, despite the high police presence. I think Wimbourne has an underlying theme tune of NWA, Straight outa Compton.

Here Gregg, who is a digging machine, demonstrates out fresh step up hip, which has a landing as steep as the take off. Should be a treat. Previously a mellow three foot jump, it’s now a 5 foot lip with a 5 ½ foot landing, stoked. Digging in wellington boots, in soaked woods, in June, is pretty bloody bizzare. Gregg is also possibly one of the nicest people I know, and I never have a bad time when we hang out.

Today my friend Annie and I went to Milton Keynes for some shopping fun. Pretty rad, Foot Locker has the best collection of trainers in the history of footwear. The Lego shop also had this rad little dude hanging out by the door, I want one. Hopefully head back to Bournemouth in the next week or so for a couple of weeks, but really need to start working for Australia trip. Hopefully going to have the tickets bought by Friday and applied for the working Visa, so steps are starting to happen at last. Good times. I have my flash set up wireless now which I’m stoked on, so should have some dialled photos soon, possibly from Epic on Thursday evening. Adios amigos.
