The concrete jungle
Wednesday 25th of July 2007 by Chaz
Updating is a strange thought process. Sometimes I want to ramble on for hours telling stories, and other times a small amount of text written quickly feels much better. Today I feel of the latter.
Sunset from my back garden
Got a job for Continental Landscapes which is dialled, mentioned it before I think. Now my arms are shredded up from all the thorn bushes we’ve been cutting. Makes me look well hardcore, like Ray Mears or Bear Grills.
Gregg 180ing
Hit up the concrete jungle of Milton Keynes for a little street on Sunday. Pretty fun session. Gregg just got a KHE Reverse freecoaster which is sweet to play on, and he was sending some fast 180’s and other backward manoeuvres.
Funky sculpture in MK
Although it’s a bit of a dull bland place in many parts, there are some cool pieces of architecture and artwork scattered around Milton Keynes. This one is by the train station, and also next to the most fun manual line in the world. Possibly.
Moving home?
Some guy with a couple of bags and another guy carrying an erect tent. They could have been homeless people moving plot. That is just one of the many reasons for which someone would be in a city centre with a fully built tent over their shoulder.
Mk train station
Not sure what these flag posts were flying. That building could be one of those little mirrors that you get in shoe shops for checking out your potential new kicks, only for the jolly green giant to use.
Danny boy stunt nut slides a ledge
Danny boy Tobin is a street assassin, just like Chris Stevenson on Road Fools 3. Yeh boi. Top Gear polar special is on right now, and is a treat. If you’re reading this and don’t know what I’m talking about, you missed out.
Double tyre ride
The majority of spots we stopped at in MK, I didn’t ride much. Took some photo’s, none of which I was particularly ecstatic about. Some days you feel it, some days you don’t.
Mike Lynette is sick
Taking photographs of people chilling is fun. Get a hair cut you biker goth!
Bus station skate spot decor
Random spraying on the walls of the bus station, along with a broken looking electrical appliance with skate shoes and a jacket hanging down. Not sure if this is a set up piece or has just accumulated from the skaters at the spot. Looked rad whatever the case. Lookout for more sneak previews of the Blewbmx calendar, including Luke Peeters riding street dressed as a pixie, and Yak building a dirt quarter in his girlfriend’s underwear. Ear to the ground on that one.
