Wildlife

Heres a selection of different rad animals that we saw along our travels. Unfortunately we didn’t end up getting to see any Koalas, but apparently they’re real hard to find. One Australian guy we met said he’d never seen one in the wild. Did get to see some other sweet wild life.

The new age locals

Decided to get my act together today, and took my camera to the skate park when Rich came to pick me up. My flash equipment also decided that it was going to get it’s act together today and allow me to get some good photo’s, first time using the SLR since I got back from Australia. Got a bunch of stokers of Richy P (my apprentice), and John, who shreds even more than when I left three months ago, no surprises there. Here’s a selection of them, got more to put up soon too. These kids are reet mint.
I haven’t been doing a whole lot since I’ve been home, but I’ve seen some awesome people, read some good stuff, watched a few movies and generally chilled. Elbow feels a lot better over the last few days, and gets its 3 week X ray Friday, so I’m real positive about it being on the mend. Look out for a bunch more photo’s from down t’local today, and a heap load of Australia updates. Blewbmx is back on the world domination path.

Street sessions

Had a few more pictures I didn’t put up yesterday from the weekend of the warehouse setup we had going. So good that the weather is a little better now than it has been for months. Going to ride a concrete park in Wales today called Aberdare which looks pretty fun.

Marcus stupid gap.

Marcus stupid gap. He hit this first time without even sizing it up using those broken pallets as take off and landings. Somehow he did it pretty much perfect and scared the hell out of all of us.

Grahame 180 to rollback to halfcab. Soon to be done all over the US no doubt!

Still have pictures from Barry to put up too you lucky things.

Ghetto street sessions

What’s up y’all. Exams are done and dusted and the weather has allowed for some actual riding to take place. Had a mad couple of days. Some of the highlights included Explosions in the Sky gig in Bristol. So good to see a band live who actually sounds good live, if not better than on the CD! Nearly getting arrested by some woman with a beard for doing nothing wrong, riding again and taking photos. Sooo stoked on life at the moment. Bristol is too wild, girls are off the hook and the bouncers deal drugs?! Wild.

Grahame is off to San Fransisco soon to marry his lady, waaay too crazy. Sad to see him go but SF sounds rad. Maybe get some USA media going on? Who knows. Had a farewell street ride, which turned out to be a really good session. Just rode some sketchy warehouse place for hours and made things with pallets. So fun.

Really good day. Also rode Barry skatepark on Saturday which is an absolute treat. Photos from that soon. Get well soon Aiden and Chaz, injury sucks.

City sights

So here goes, the first update that I have got around to doing with some random photo’s from my three months in Australia. I didn’t really get that many actual riding photo’s, but got a bunch of spot check snaps and a heap load of general photo’s along the way. It was one of the best times in my life, went so many rad places, met a shit load of sick heads and accumulated a million stories. Thought I’d put up a few of the biggest cities that we went to along the way, namely Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. One day I might even put up something slightly BMX related, don’t hold your breath though!
Right now I’m back home when I should be in NZ; funds weren’t having it, plus I ended up with a broken elbow so I can’t do much at all right now. Hopefully get a bunch of updates done whilst i’m a little immobile, read some books, listen to some Russell Brand podcasts, go on walks, take some pictures, stuff like that I guess. Apparently young Jibbles has had a shoulder operation and isn’t going to be riding for months, so send the boy some tender love.
Yesterday, i saw in a Ride issue from whilst I was away a Blewbmx mention from international megasuperstar Tommy gun Higgins, fame! Here’s some photographs for you to look at with your peepers if you like. Byeeee.
