RADley with the shovelload
Tuesday 1st of April 2008 by Ed

YEAH SUMMER TIME! The clocks have gone forward, it hasn’t rained in 2 days, must be summer. Light evenings are the best thing ever, always forget how good it is to ride late. To celebrate the occasion I had a little trip down to Radley track. Hadn’t been there in a while and some people hate it, but I bloody love it. So much fun just playing around doing stupid stuff there. Above Aiden does a 360 to some grass.

Met up with the Shovelload load unit who had been riding Abingdon skatepark but quit there because it was too busy. Aiden was also doing some lovely no handers for me.

Griz by another Abingdon fellow by the name of Matt. There were loads of riders about, felt like a proper scene. The wonders of having a new skatepark in town I guess? Were also pikey kids riding round the track on scooters all day. Wish I had got a shot of them, one of the bikes they were riding looked like it was made out of wood and had a racing number plate on it. Way too good.

Aiden hadn’t done many of these for a while due to bummed ankle etc, but I made him do loads because I am evil and they look good.

Yak did some fancy tables and turnbars. Here’s on of them. The Shovelload and BlewBMX are once again to be united, but in a different way from last time. The house of dreams in Oxford is happening in August apparently. Should be wild and all that milarky. No idea what I am doing next year, I finish university this year, hopefully going to stay in Cardiff and chill, see what rad jobs come my way but who knows.

Yak took hold of the camera for a bit and got me doing a 1-foot table on the wonder that is Radley box. I like the way it looks like I am shitting myself at the same time. Booom. Sunday was a really good day, so nice to have good weather at last! Hopefully will stay this way, except when I have exams…
