New Bristol skatepark layout

Went to Motion in Bristol the other week, the park had a make over. It’s pretty nice, but was too busy to ride really. Going to Corby today, so expect an update from that soon.

Woods and reminiscance

This is pretty much how we spend most of the minutes of weekend daylight which are not spent piling up mud. Camp fires, talking shit, eating food and sitting in the hut. Occasionally, Liam trys to make Ed eat a whole sausage roll in one by putting it in his mouth and saying he can’t use his hands. Light entertainment.

So this time one year ago exactly Eddie and I were in Rockhampton, Queensland. We rode this sweet ass skatepark with a bunch of rad bowls and hips that you could roast realy fast. Afterwards, we went out and partied the shit out of the town, met some rad chicks and got loose. This was a good place to be, one of our (or at least my) favourite towns we visited.

This time two years ago Ollie and I were shredding the shit out of the Farm late at night. I remember the ride home vividly, we were both absolutely freezing and cranked hard the whole way back. Ollie had raw dogged his frame and I think I don’t think he had a choice in the polka dots I gave his bike.

Training the long hip at Slade’s, November 27th 2005. Little Tom from Croydon took this shot, Ollie, Tom and I were hanging out every day pretty much back then. Getting to know the lines at Slade’s was fun as shit, I couldn’t ride anything at all opposite back then but started to learn about this time. We used to do alot of partying in the Villa, and the Consortium Tuesdays, lots of drinking at Tom’s and in the SU bar Dylans at this time too. I think I also used to attend Uni in small amounts to for a while at this early stage.

Camp fires

I took some pictures this weekend, but seeing as I didn’t ride there aren’t any riding photos. It was pretty cold at the weekend, so made some wicked fires.

To keep warm we piled up earth

Then smacked the shit out of it

Then piled some more

And stamped on it. Some people went on a roof and had a chat with the men in blue. Smash it!

Stories round the camp fire are good. “Pipe what happens if you touch the most dangerous mushroom in Britain and poke yourself in the eye?” Pipe - “I dunno I wouldn’t do that”

Brian Foster 360 table

Bobby from Fit has some good new photos up of Brian Foster riding trails before winter struck. I will hopefully take the camera out and shoot some BMX this weekend.

Pure Update Gold

Here is some rad things that I’ve been doing lately. The first one is from my trip with my Mum and Dad to visit my sister in Bath, we saw some rad places, it’s a nice town. Also eat at Jamie’s Italian, which was a bt of a let down, food wasn’t half as good as I had anticipated.

One cold Wednesday a few weeks ago Jib and I took a trip to Salisbury. It tok way longer to get there than expected, and was wetter and colder than we had hoped for. Of course, this never stops that handsome young fellow from being the coolest kid at any given spot. He shredded.

You probably know by now that Aidan is a world famous BMX megastar, and refuses to get on his bike for less than 20 Marlboro Red’s or a handjob. He hardly ever talks to me, spending most of his time sending Msn messages to Mike Spinner, Dave Potato and Heath Pinter. Here he demonstrates an alternative use for a Deluxe frame, just before the fame went to his head.

The coolest looking shovel ever made. Mint for mud piling, the perfect length to save those dodgy bmx backs an aching.

Aidan showed me how he talks to the turkeys whilst I was extremely hungover and still half cut. Laughed pretty hard, because they do actually talk back. Genius.

Pretty much the closest thing to a trail pet we have. Maddie lives on the farm by the trails, and kills rabbits that are as big as she is. I chased her with the camera to get a photo of the rabbit in her mouth as she was running along. She hid, growled and bared her teeth at me, so as I didn’t unlawfully take said rabbit. She probably made a nice stew that evening.

Daz found a frog whilst we built a landing, so we played with him for a while. He kept on hopping away, being rather cheeky. Think he got scared after a while so we let him be free again.

Finally a Joe inspired shot of Alphabetti on toast, possibly the greatest, most noble, manly dinner ever conceived to this day. If I had been really picky, I would have written something really witty in this, perhaps Blewbmx.com or an Alan Partridge quote. Hope you have enjoyed this nonsense based update. Peace and love x
